Duration and Nature of Future Punishment by Henry Constable - Hands-down one of the most spirited, beautifully written, and tightly argued books ever written on the topic. This book was written in the late 19th century and went through six printings.
Hades by Henry Constable - A stirring book aptly defends the notion that humans cease to exist between death and bodily resurrection.
Life in Christ by Edward White - A masterpiece that cost him his pulpit, White is one of the greatest American defenders of Conditional Immortality. Written in 1846, this work would be best suited for advanced readers.
The Problem of Immortality by Emmanuel Petavel - This incredible French scholar writes one of the more philosophically oriented books on the issue in 1892. Another book for more advanced readers.
The Doctrine of Eternal Punishment by Thomas Thayer - He writes this book against the traditional doctrine in the year 1855.
Unspeakable Gift by John Pettingell - This 19th century district secretary of the Congregationalist Board of Foreign Missions wrote this immense work that posits that only those who receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus will live forever. Open Theism:
